General

I use email, text, messenger or WhatsApp messaging as means of invoicing, quotation and bookings. All types of communication between you (the client) and me (Jenni Wren Gardens) are a means of contract and acceptance of our terms and conditions.

If you wish to cancel your garden visit, I require 48 hours’ notice. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, then full time allocated will be payable.

​

In the event of me not being able to access the garden on the scheduled day, 100% charge will apply.

I work all year round, though in winter there is less work to do. Generally speaking, I do not work in the rain or very cold or hot weather and if it has rained heavily overnight.

​

Any parking charges incurred will be re-charged at cost.

​

Travel over 10 miles from Rochester,Kent will be charged at 45p per mile.

​

Jenni Wren Gardens cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to pipes, irrigation tubes, garden lighting, soil pipes and drains that are hidden or covered by or under soil/plants. I will ask for details of where such services are located before any work is agreed.

​

If you have pets, I do ask that you ‘pick up’ before I arrive and that they are kept indoors while I am working.

Planting Design

Before I provide any planting design services there is an initial consultation(s). I will arrange to visit you to discuss the look and feel you would like to achieve for your garden. 

​

By accepting my quotation in writing, you are also accepting these terms and conditions which will enable me to proceed.  I will require a non-refundable advance payment of 50% at this stage to secure my services.

Planting

Good quality plants are supplied by me in accordance with the agreed plant list (subject to availability) and in the quantities required for the design. I will order, take delivery of the plants and set them out in their positions, ready for planting either by me, you or we can do the planting together.

​

Payment for the plants is required 24 hours before delivery to your garden and before they are planted. All plant delivery charges are charged at cost to you. I am also happy to take you to any nurseries open to the public if you would prefer to choose plants.

​

Once plants are planted in your garden, you are responsible for their care. There are many factors that contribute to the successful growth of a plant. All plants are supplied in good faith.

 

Plant Care

I hope that you will be delighted with the results of our work, however, please bear in mind that gardens are living things and in the first 18 months will need correct care and attention. Gardens are greatly affected by external factors beyond our control including weather conditions, which can be both extreme and unexpected. Plants need time and patience to establish and develop.

A detailed maintenance schedule and seasonal site visits are not included in the Planting Design Services, but if requested a bespoke maintenance schedule tailored to your circumstances can be drawn up for your garden. I am also available for garden advice sessions.

Payment

Preferred method is by BACS.

Planting Design Consultations, Garden Enhancement and Garden Advice Visits: Payable on receipt of invoice, usually issued on the day of each visit

Planting Design: 50% in advance (based on estimated time needed) balance due upon receipt of final design

Plants: 24 hours before delivery

Overdue Payments

Jenni Wren Gardens reserves the right to charge interest on all unpaid amounts where payment is not received within 7 days following delivery of an invoice with interest accruing at the rate of 8% per annum compounded monthly until full payment is received. Any costs and expenses incurred to recover payment will also be charged to the client.

Delay or Cancellation

If you opt to delay or abandon altogether, the balance of any outstanding planting design hours spent will be due.

You remain responsible for either, the cancellation costs incurred for any goods and plants ordered from a supplier.

Until payment in full has been received for the goods supplied by me, the property and title to the goods including plants remains with Jenni Wren Gardens and you agree that I am authorised to enter the location where the goods are held to take possession of the goods including plants and if necessary remove them.

 

My Insurance

I have Public Liability to £2,000,000 is in place with Direct Line.
